I always figured they were from Missouri. There's a lot of rednecks, there, like Cletus and family. But it's not the south because they don't have accents. Plus, how can they be from Vermont? There aren't any trees in the cartoon. No one ever says anything about maple syrup, either.

I am one of 200 volunteers who appeared in the winning Springfield Vermont video. After we helped our local Chamber of Commerce win the contest, they turned their backs on us. We were kept off the invitation list so the elite people in town could attend the world premiere instead. And not even a word of thanks or mention of us in the public ceremony outside the theater.
